ILDEX Vietnam 2026 continues to reflect new shifts in the livestock and aquaculture industries, particularly in biotechnology, resource optimization, and sustainable development. At the event, VNF connected and engaged with partners on technological innovation needs, market trends, and emerging solutions in the aquaculture sector.
One of the highlights of the event was the discussion session titled “Biotechnology Innovation in Aquaculture” (May 21, 2026), which focused on biotech applications in raw material development, disease control, and circular economy models.
During the session, Mr. Phan Thanh Loc, Chairman of VNF, shared insights on the biorefinery approach, highlighting its potential to convert aquaculture by-products into high-value biomaterials. This is considered a key direction for promoting a circular economy in the aquaculture industry, while also reflecting trends in resource optimization and improved efficiency.
As the aquaculture sector faces increasing pressure to optimize costs, reduce emissions, control diseases, and enhance economic efficiency, biotechnology is expected to play an increasingly important role in the industry’s transformation. From input materials and production processes to disease prevention solutions, biotech is opening new pathways for operational efficiency and long-term competitiveness.
