Eight months ago, Vietnam Food (VNF), Techkem and GREE (Tầm Nhìn Xanh – GREE) signed a partnership to bring CleanV into Malaysia’s drinking water treatment. Today, that agreement has moved into live pilot operation – a significant milestone on the path from research to real-world application.
Early results show CleanV performing consistently under actual river water conditions, with quality varying across seasons: over 95% turbidity reduction, up to 90% heavy metal removal, and compliance with current national drinking-water standards. The solution also delivers the inherent advantages of an organic coagulant – near-neutral pH and a cleaner sludge output.
Reaching this stage took more than three years of formulation development and optimization. Together with Techkem, VNF conducted jar-trial programs across multiple Malaysian water treatment plants – each with distinct source-water profiles – to evaluate treatment performance and define the right operating parameters.
As one of Malaysia’s leading firms in water treatment chemicals, Techkem serves as the field implementation and evaluation partner. The results from that testing process laid the foundation for CleanV’s entry into live pilot operation within a real Malaysian drinking water facility.
Going forward, VNF and Techkem will continue the evaluation process toward commercial deployment – first in Malaysia, then across the wider region. We also look forward to presenting these results together at Vietwater this November.
