🌱 CO-CREATING SOLUTIONS FOR THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

On June 16, Vietnam Food (VNF) welcomed professors, researchers, and industry partners, including VFC and BioSpring, to the Scientific Consultation Workshop on “Sustainable Crop Agriculture Solutions for the 2026-2030 Period”. The event brought together scientific expertise and industry perspectives to help shape a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future.
🌱 Experts discussed key challenges in restoring soil health, improving post-harvest preservation, and strengthening crop resilience to environmental stresses and climate change.
🌱 In response to these challenges, VFC shared practical experience gained from working closely with farmers, helping lay the foundation for effective and sustainable agricultural solutions. BioSpring highlighted the potential of microbial solutions for improving soil health, enhancing plant vigor, and improving agricultural product quality, while VNF introduced advanced solutions that support circular agriculture and create opportunities for high-value biological products.
Experts from Can Tho University (CTU) – Đại học Cần Thơ, the Cuu Long Delta Rice Research Institute (CLRRI), the Biotechnology Center of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMBIOTECH) – Trung tâm Công nghệ Sinh học TP. Hồ Chí Minh, and the Southern Horticultural Research Institute (SOFRI) – Viện cây ăn quả miền Nam contributed valuable insights on future directions for research and innovation.
🌱 Among the topics receiving particular attention during the discussions, biostimulants emerged as a promising area for future growth. With abundant resources of chitosan and hydrolyzed proteins, Vietnam has significant opportunities to develop high-value biological solutions in the years ahead.
🤝 The workshop marked the beginning of continued dialogue and collaboration to turn scientific insights into practical solutions that create lasting value for farmers and the agricultural sector.
