On 14/11/2018, the conference “Vietnam-Norway business summit on making higher quality products from marine rest raw materials” took place in Ho Chi Minh City. Under the theme “Status and Further Development of Shrimp By-product Processing in Vietnam”, VNF joined as an official member of the Conference, and called attention to the importance and benefits of rendered byproducts, not only effective economically but also protect and avoid negative impacts on the environment.
“Innovation Norway” aims to connect and support Vietnamese and Norwegian businesses to have the opportunity to discuss and strengthen strategic cooperation and develop their competitive advantage in two countries in the future. On November 16, 2018, VNF also welcomed the Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam and 11 companies from Norway to visit VNF Hau Giang factory.
During the delegation’s visit, VNF learned and exchanged information and experience from leading companies in machinery and equipment such as Skala, Epcon, Fjell, etc in dealing with Rest materials. In addition, VNF also welcomed and discussed potential future cooperation with Firmenich – the second largest aromatic group in the world.
In its strategy of expanding and seeking new sources of raw materials to replace scarce marine resources, Firmenich views VNF as a potential future reliable partner in shrimp flavouring. This is a huge motivation and stepping stone for the development of perfume industry in Vietnam and in the world.
The success of the “Innovation Norway” program has improved the trust of Norwegian companies in Vietnamese businesses. This affirms the prestige and vision in production investment, enhances the infrastructure, meets international standards for integration and development.
