🌟 VNF Shares ESG Practices at the “Vietnam ESG Initiative Forum” (PART 2)

💡 The workshop “Unlocking Governance Strategies for Sustainable Business with the Vietnam ESG Initiative 2025” was successfully held, providing valuable insights and deeper inderstanding of ESG 🌱.

🌍 Did you know that ~60% of businesses in Vietnam that have not yet committed to ESG are small and medium enterprises (SMEs)? This is why this workshop emphasizes the “G” (Governance) – a foundational factor that is often more manageable (compated to the “S” and “E”). It can be a good starting point for businesses eager to embrace ESG but unsure of how to begin 👩‍💼👨‍💼.

🎯 As you embark on your ESG journey, it’s crucial to understand the essence of the ESG standards and customize your framework accordingly. Instead of just applying the entire ESG reporting system mechanically, take some time to evaluate which criteria truly fit your business nature and operational scale. Focus on “Suitability”, “Priorization”, and “Feasibility” when you build your ESG implementation strategy 👍.

⛵ Starting the ESG journey can be challenging, especially in the early stages when feelings of isolation often arise. However, all speakers shared a consistent message: the key to overcoming obstacles is a strong sense of determination and persistence 💪.

🙏 A big thank you to The Agency for Enterprise Development (AED) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam (MPI), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Vietnam), the USAID Improving Private Sector Competitiveness (IPSC – Dự án Tăng cường năng lực cạnh tranh khu vực tư nhân VN) for organizing such an inspiring and meaningful event. This workshop was not only enriching for VNF but also created opportunities for learning and connection. We look forward to participating in more initiatives that promote ESG practices and contribute to sustainable development ♻️.
