Agricultural waste is everywhere.
Plastic waste is worse.
What if one could solve the other?
At VNF, we turned that question into action.

With a biodegradable, antimicrobial fruit wrap made from shrimp shells and rice straw, we’re honored to receive First Prize & $30,000 from the UNDP Plastic Innovation Programme 2025.

From 116 proposals across Vietnam, only 6 top winners and 4 runner-ups were selected.
VNF is proud to be ranked #1, moving into a 9-month acceleration phase where real-world implementation begins.

Why our solution matters:

100% biodegradable – made from agricultural waste

Fights pests & fungi naturally – reducing pesticide use

Decomposes into fertilizer – safe for the soil

Affordable & durable – replaces plastic wraps in farms

This milestone proves that local wastes + circular R&D mindset = global sustainability and prosperity for farmers, for nature, and for our future.

We’re grateful to:
UNDP in Việt Nam | Ministry of Agriculture and Environment | The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Sub-Fund (UNPDF) | The Coca-Cola Foundation
for supporting local innovators and empowering sustainable solutions.
