On 3 October 2016, VNF held a signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement with Korean CJ Group at Sheraton Vietnam. This follows the success of the MoU conducted a year prior on 20 May 2015. The Cooperation Agreement focuses on the ‘Research cooperation, technological innovation, and commercialization of value-added products based on SSE (Shrimp Soluble Extract) by VNF, to create a new generation of nutrient-added additives which will have the ability to replace fish meal in livestock feed ingredients’. The signing Ceremony was a fundamental step in formalizing cooperation between parties in the field of SSE research and product development
This successive signing event has redefined VNF’s leading position in the R&D and hi-tech application of additives in the animal feed market. VNF is also currently the largest producer in Vietnam, specializing in the processing and supply of proteins extracted from seafood with modern plant systems. In particular, SSE (a highly valued commodity of VNF) is a significant example of a new generation attractant rich with nutrients, including amino acids, peptide, chitosan, and other trace substances. SSE also has additional benefits in increasing body resistance to and reducing stress in animals.
Based on the Cooperation Agreement in ‘Research, technological development and commercialization of value-added products based on SSE’, VNF and Korean CJ Group believe that economic benefit for both parties and societal benefit in general will be achieved by sharing experiences, providing mutual support built on each party’s strengths, and enhancing product development both for domestic markets and international usage in the near future. The agreement aims to establish a long-term cooperative relationship, involving commitment and harmony, between both parties.
