From July 9th to 10th, 2018, Vietnam Food (VNF) was pleased to welcome Professor Koro and Dr. Pedro from the University of Basque, Spain. Prof. Koro is a specialist in the field of recycled protein-based packaging in the food industry and currently the head of the BIOMAT Research Center at his university’s Department of Chemistry and Environment.
During two days, two experts spent time visiting two VNF factories in Hau Giang, and Ca Mau province and the R&D center of the company in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Managers and staff at VNF’s two factories and the R&D center had the opportunity to introduce their daily production and research activities. After the discussion, two experts were impressed by the scale, technology and especially the “zero-waste” production model that VNF is applying. They truly believe that this is the sustainable way to create added values from aquaculture by-products.
In addition, VNF appreciated that two experts provided valuable advices to tackle problems which VNF has been facing in manufacturing and researching, while also providing solutions and latest research equipment to contribute to the growth of VNF and its R&D center.
