Last week, the Board of Directors of
Leave a Nest Group, organizer of the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC 2026), visited VNF’s office to discuss how science, education, and businesses can be connected in a substantive and scalable way beyond ideas or research alone. Notably, two delegations from Leave a Nest visited VNF in succession, including teams from Malaysia and Singapore, followed by the Japan headquarters, signaling strong and sustained interest.

Leave a Nest is guided by a science-driven innovation philosophy, connecting scientists, startups, enterprises, and investors to address real-world challenges. Through platforms such as HIC, research is activated toward concrete next steps, closely aligned with VNF’s focus on applied science.

HIC 2026
At Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Vietnam 2026, VNF presented two research posters. One highlighted the transformation of by-products into a wide range of value-added outputs and applications, forming a foundation for circular biotechnology models. The other showcased crop solutions with biological products validated through experimentation and applicable across the full crop life cycle. Among more than 33 posters, VNF’s integration of science, operations, and real-world impact attracted strong attention.

Discussions identified collaboration paths including education and capacity building linked to real business challenges, innovation models and potential spin-offs built on VNF’s bio-industrial platform and circular economy principles, and startup ecosystem connections. This includes linking VNF / ReTriV with startup companies such as Qarbotech, Ninjin, and others in the Leave a Nest network.

As applied science and interdisciplinary collaboration become critical to sustainability and biotechnology, VNF and Leave a Nest will continue discussions to translate science and education into practical, scalable impact.

We sincerely thank Leave a Nest for the visits, open exchanges, and the invitation for VNF to participate in HIC.
