At IPVS 2026, one of the world’s most respected scientific events in swine veterinary science, VNF was honored to present the study “Application of Shrimp Peptide in Pig Production: Effects on Feed Intake, Growth Performance, and Health”.
The study was co-presented by Dr. Ngo Hong Phuong, Lecturer at Nong Lam University HCMC, and Ms. Tran Van Ty, Project Director at VNF.
IPVS 2026 was the 28th congress of the International Pig Veterinary Society and the first ever held in Vietnam. Across four days, it gathered more than 4,600 delegates from around 50 countries alongside nearly 1,000 scientific studies, affirming its standing as one of the leading forums of the global swine veterinary sector.
The findings show that shrimp peptide holds potential across the pig’s entire life cycle, helping to improve feed intake, growth performance and overall herd health, while opening the way to draw greater value from circular economy resources.
Congratulations to Nong Lam University HCMC (Trường Đại Học Nông Lâm TP.HCM) and the organizing committee for bringing IPVS 2026 to Vietnam for the first time, marking an important milestone for the country’s veterinary and livestock community.
