🌟 VNF has continued the new year 2024 with more good news as one of the 11 selected innovative climate projects of CFA Vietnam.
🇬🇧 The CFA is part of the UK Government’s efforts to help Viet Nam meet the commitments made by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at COP26. Its main objective is to support innovative and impactful climate projects to access finance. The CFA operates in ten countries, including Vietnam, with the aim of encouraging the flows of finance required to deliver on countries’ ambition to meet the Net Zero Goal by 2050 and limit global warming to 1.5°C.
🌏 With CFA’s support, VNF will further strengthen its capacity building, connect with influential innovators, policy makers, investors, social impact specialists around the world with strong climate resilience commitments. This will bring VNF closer to its objectives, delivering more sustainable value, while unlocking environmental and social co-benefits.

11 innovative climate projects selected to join Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) Viet Nam Eleven exciting projects that help to tackle climate change in Viet Nam have been selected as the second cohort of Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) Viet Nam. The projects come from the clean energy and energy transition, e-mobility, AFOLU (agriculture, forestry and other land uses), circular economy, and waste management sectors and have the potential to benefit communities across the country. These projects are seeking a total of USD 436 million in funding. Each project will receive one-to-one and group support tailored to increase their chances of attracting investment from Vietnamese and international investors. The CFA is part of the UK Government’s efforts to help Viet Nam meet the commitments made by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at COP26 - UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in 2021 and offer support to implement the Viet Nam Just Energy Transition Partnership (V-JETP) that was agreed in December 2022.
