This material has been successfully tested in dye-contaminated wastewater treatment. The research paper “Composite aerogels of TEMPO-oxidized pineapple leaf pulp and chitosan for dyes removal” was published in the journal Separation and Purification Technology on November 21st 2021

On 06/12/2021, VNF & DAM CA MAU (PVCFC) signed an MOU for the Strategic Cooperation to develop bio-fertilizer and bio-products for AGRICULTURE. We are extremely proud and excited to accompany PVCFCon this journey with the contribution of VNF Peptides & Chitin/Chitosan. A new chapter of VNF begins when our products are expanded into the field of fertilizer. With environmentally friendly properties, high nutrition values, antibacterial/antifungal ability, immune enhancement, and soil support improvement … VNF’s products such as peptides, chitin/ chitosan, etc… will be the main raw material solution for the project.

While worldwide hunger continues to rise, almost 50% of all fruit and vegetables produced are wasted – predominantly due to post-harvest loss. Chitosan is a safe, effective, and edible post-harvest protector to extend fruits’ shelf life, quality, texture, and appearance. Coating fruits with Chitosan will create a selective semi-permeable film to regulate the atmosphere around the fruit. We admit the global problem of post-harvest fruit loss won’t be solved by one product. But in the wise words of Sir David Attenborough: “the one thing we can all do is stop waste”.
